What does tiny-k Early Intervention of Douglas County do for families?

tiny-k Early Intervention of Douglas County provides therapy services including, but not limited to: Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work Services (including Play Therapy), Feeding and Nutrition Therapy, and Child Development to address behavior concerns, speech concerns, nutrition and feeding concerns, movement concerns, and sensory issues to name a few of the issues we address with children and their caregivers.  These services are provided at no cost to families in the child’s natural environment (home, child care, grandparents’ home, etc.).  tiny-k works with community partners including physicians to insure collaborative care.

Our History, Mission and Values

Early Intervention services have been available in Douglas County since 1992.  Douglas County Infant Toddler Coordinating Council, Inc. was formed in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  The name was changed to tiny-k Early Intervention, Inc. in 2006.  The core mission and values of the organization have remained unchanged over the years.  The organization has a governing Board of Directors which consists of volunteers from the community, some of whom are parents who have received services from tiny-k.  This Board meets once a month to insure the organization provides high-quality services in a fiscally responsible manner.  tiny-k Early Intervention, Inc. also has a Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) – the Douglas County Early Childhood Council which serves to insure effective community collaboration.
